Design complexity and metal choice matter too, but the diamond is almost always the biggest line on the quote. You get a full breakdown before anything is committed, so there are no surprises later.

Usually the opposite. Chain retailers price in showrooms, staff, national advertising and layers of distribution. We design and build in our own workshop and buy stones directly, so most clients get a better diamond and a one-of-a-kind setting for the same money or less.

Yes. A deposit starts the design process, and the amount depends on the scope of the project. It is set out clearly in your quote and applied in full to the final price of the ring.

Quotes are held for 14 days. Diamond and gold prices move with the market, so if you come back several months later the number may have shifted. We will always tell you before anything changes rather than quietly re-pricing.

Yes. You pay the difference in diamond value plus any work needed to adjust the setting. If your original stone was $2,000 and the one you want is $5,000, you pay the $3,000 difference.

Around two to three weeks from the moment you approve the final design. Simpler settings sit closer to two weeks, intricate ones closer to three. If you are working to a specific date, tell us at the consultation and we will build the schedule around it.

Not at all, and most people don't. Plenty of our clients arrive with nothing but a rough budget and a screenshot. We walk you through shapes, settings, metals and diamond grades in plain language until the picture comes together.

Yes, and this is the part that sets us apart. You get a 3D digital rendering first, then a wearable prototype in silver and cubic zirconia. You can hold it, try it on and see it in daylight before we commit a single diamond or gram of gold. Changes at that stage cost nothing.

Very common, and not a problem. We can work from a ring she already wears, or size it later. Resizing after the proposal is straightforward on most settings, and the prototype stage gives us another chance to check the fit.

Of course. Some couples design the ring together from the first meeting, others keep it a complete surprise. Both work equally well with our process.

Yes. We run design meetings over video for clients outside the city or anyone who simply prefers it. Everything except the in-person prototype fitting can be handled remotely.

Every ring is designed and handcrafted in our own North York workshop. Nothing is outsourced, which is why we can control the quality, the price and the timeline directly.

Absolutely. You do not have to buy a finished ring to work with us. We regularly source loose certified diamonds on their own, whether you are holding a stone for later, replacing one, adding to an existing piece, or simply want the diamond now and the setting decided down the road.

Tell us the shape, rough carat range and budget you have in mind and we will bring in options for you to inspect under 10x magnification before you commit to anything.

Yes. A lab-grown diamond is chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined one. Same carbon, same crystal structure, same hardness, same fire. The only difference is where it formed. They are graded and certified against exactly the same standards.

Not by looking. Even a gemologist with standard equipment cannot separate them without specialised instruments. The distinction is origin, not quality, and it is not something anyone will notice on her hand.

Every diamond we work with carries a GIA or IGI certificate. We also inspect each stone ourselves before purchase, because grading has a subjective element and a borderline call between two grades can move the price by 5 to 20 percent. We go through that inspection with you.

All of them: round brilliant, oval, emerald, cushion, princess, pear, marquise, radiant, asscher and more. Fancy coloured diamonds and coloured gemstones such as sapphires can be sourced on request.

Yes, and it is one of our favourite things to do. Bring in an heirloom stone or an existing ring and we will assess the diamond, discuss what is possible, and design a new setting around it. Ask about our heirloom redesign work at your consultation.

Almost certainly, and we would love to hear it. Nothing in our gallery is a limit on what we can build. If you have an unusual setting, a mixed-metal idea, a hidden detail, an engraving, a family stone you want worked in, or something you have only ever seen in a sketch, bring it to us.

Bring us the photo. In most cases we can build something equivalent, and often improve on it, usually for less than the original designer price. We will be upfront if a specific detail is not practical to reproduce.

Yes. Matching bands are best designed alongside the engagement ring so the profiles sit flush against each other, but we are happy to make one later for a ring we have already built.

Dates, initials, coordinates, a short phrase, a fingerprint, a hidden birthstone under the setting. These are the details that make a ring genuinely hers, and most of them add far less to the cost than people expect.

Every ring carries a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, on the condition that you bring it in for an annual inspection. That check is how we catch prong wear before it becomes a lost stone. Your warranty card is provided at pickup.

If you have kept up with the annual inspections and the cause is a manufacturing defect, it is covered. That is precisely what the inspection exists to prevent.

Yes for anything we have made. We also take repair requests on rings made elsewhere, assessed case by case, so send us a photo and we will let you know.

Warm water, a drop of dish soap and a soft toothbrush restores most of the sparkle people think they have lost. Take it off for the gym, gardening and anything involving harsh chemicals, and bring it to us once a year for a professional clean and prong check.
